Preview Show Weekend: June 12-14, 2026: Held in conjunction with Missouri Cattlemen’s Association Junior Expo Weekend

  • 2026 Preview Show Weekend Schedule
  • Cattle for ALL Angus shows can be entered via the Showman App (website)
  • Phenotype/Genotype (PGS) Heifer Show Rules
  • Breeder Jackpot and Open Angus Show Rules
  • May 16th regular entry fee deadline and final entry date for PGS heifers. Late entry available for Breeder Jackpot, Junior and Open Shows at additional cost.
  • Friday, June 12 – 6 pm: MO Angus Junior Phenotype/Genotype (PGS) Heifer Show, MO Breeder Jackpot Heifer, and MO Breeder Jackpot Steer Show.
    • Fitting Rule: Blow and Go Only. No paint, no adhesive.
    • PGS Show Notes: Paradox Farms is the PGS Sponsor and we will be utilizing the new MO Angus PGS Tiebreaker of the Judge’s Discretion to break any ties.
  • Saturday, June 13 – 9 am: MO Junior Angus Preview Show: Cow/Calf Pairs, Bred-and-Owned Heifers, Owned Heifers, Bred & Owned Bulls, and Steers
    • Fitting Rule: Full fit optional, but no paint allowed.
  • Sunday, June 14 – 8:30 am: National Junior Angus Assn. Showmanship Selection
  • Sunday, June 14 – 8:45 am: Open Preview: Cow/Calf Pairs, Heifers, Bulls, Steers, and Intermediate & Junior Showmanship
    • Fitting Rule: Tops, tailheads and tails only, no paint!

2026 Missouri State Fair

  • New this year, you will enter on our website for the Missouri State Fair OPEN Phenotype/Genotype (PGS) Heifer & Bull Show which will take place on Wednesday, August 12 directly following the three divisions of junior Angus showmanship.

2026 Missouri State Fair OPEN Phenotype/Genotype Heifer & Bull Show – Wednesday, August 12th

  • The cash prize for the Champion PGS Heifer and Bull is $600 and Reserve $300. Class winners will also receive $100 each and additional prizes will be awarded. The heifer premiums are provided by Dave & Stacia Eversole of Eversole Angus, 1600 S. Hickory Grove School Rd., Rocheport, MO 65279. The bull premiums are provided by Brock & Michele Meyer of Meyer Cattle, 14353 Hwy 61, Bowling Green, MO 63334.
  • Show Rules
    • Open to any Angus heifer or bull entered in the 2026 Missouri State Fair Open Show.
    • Exhibitor must be a paid Missouri Angus or Missouri Junior Angus As- sociation member.
    • $20 entry fee per head must be paid through Missouri Angus Association at MissouriAngus.org by August 1.
    • The show will be abbreviated as PGS. Each animal will receive half their score from their ranking on Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) and the other half on the Phenotype ranking. Ties will be broken at the judge’s discretion.
    • All entries must be registered Angus heifers or bulls and have been genomic tested, with a DNA sample already having been processed. Genomically enhanced EPDs by AGI must be incorporated prior to August 7
    • No substitutions and no refunds.
    • Fitting Rule: Blow and go. No adhesives.
    • Premiums to be paid out by Missouri Angus Association during the show.
    • Check-in is Wednesday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the MFA Arena.

2027 Missouri Angus Futurity Sale – Saturday, February 27, 2027 in Columbia, MO at the Trowbridge Livestock Center on the campus of University of Missouri with all live lots on display! Help us reach our goal of having 70 live lots for the 70th Anniversary Sale! Please note, the consignment deadline is December 14, 2026.

Royalty Applications with Crowning at Futurity Weekend
In 2027, the Royalty will again be selected at our Futurity Weekend. Applications will be updated in the fall.

NEW PROGRAM: 2026 Missouri Angus Auxiliary Ebonette Program

Approved at the Auxiliary Annual Meeting in February, we are excited to be able to add three more royalty to our Association this year. The applications for Ebonette are due April 1st in this kick-off year with the responsibility of the young ladies to assist at the Missouri Angus Preview Show Weekend, Sedalia, MO (June) and the Missouri State Fair Angus Shows, Sedalia, MO (August). This new program is open to Angus enthusiasts ages 7 to 11 that are Missouri residents.

  • To kick-off the 68th Annual Missouri Angus Futurity, Missouri Angus Association hosted a panel discussion around animal health with an emphasis on sale cattle. The discussion was moderated by Clint Hunter and the three panel members included Dr. Scott Poock, Ben Eggers and Holly Meyer. In addition to the written words, on Saturday, February 24, 2024 during the Missouri Angus Breeders’ Futurity Weekend, we hosted a panel discussion around marketing cattle with an emphasis on the consignment sale setting. The discussion was moderated by Clint Hunter and included four previous Missouri Angus Herdsman of the Year Recipients including Teela Sadowsky, Jennifer Russell, Reed Gooden and Cash Langford.
